About Nice N Sleazy
Since 1991, Nice N Sleazy has been a cornerstone of Glasgow’s nightlife — a late-night bar, club, and grassroots venue with a history of championing music and arts. From DIY gigs and underground club nights to spoken word, film screenings, cabarets and much more.
The Role
You’ll manage and coordinate a busy calendar of live music, club nights, spoken word, film, and arts events — making sure everything runs smoothly from initial booking through to the night itself. This is a practical, hands-on role that relies on strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and confident communication. You’ll be just as comfortable with spreadsheets, budgets, and emails as you are posting engaging content on social media and keeping our audience in the loop.
Key Responsibilities
- Book and coordinate gigs, club nights, and arts events that reflect Sleazy’s ethos.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with artists, promoters, agents, and local creatives.
- Balance creative programming with commercial viability to ensure a sustainable calendar.
- Oversee scheduling, budgets, and contracts for events.
- Manage marketing schedule for events within the venue.
- Work as part of a team to bring events to life.
- Champion diversity and inclusion in all programming decisions.
Who We’re Looking For
- Current experience in booking, promoting, or curating events (music, club nights, or arts).
- A knowledge of Glasgow’s grassroots scene and emerging talent with a passion for involvement with Glasgow’s night time industry and community.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple events.
- Excellent communication and administrative skills.
- A natural relationship builder who can represent Nice N Sleazy when working with promoters, agents, artists and other partners.
- A creative thinker with a distinctive taste and vision.
- Someone who can put together basic graphics and promotional materials.
- Comfortable balancing Sleazy’s heritage with fresh, forward-looking ideas.
- A flexible multi-faceted individual with a knowledge, care and a vision for the space.
Terms
- Flexible working arrangement.
- Salary dependent on experience.
- Evening and weekend work required as part of the role.
