SUMMARY:UPSTAIRS GIG - LOUIS O'HARA
DESCRIPTION:Louis O’Hara is a singer-songwriter from West Wales\, whose songs combine intimate folk songwriting with richly atmospheric arrangements. Influenced by Bill Callahan and Lou Reed\, his music is rooted in poetic lyricism\, memory and a strong sense of place. His debut album\, A Peaceful Kind of Fun\, was released by Libertino Records in 2025\, with Clash calling it “quietly magical”\, Hard of Hearing praising it as an “outstanding debut album”\, and The Guardian describing his music as “unusually touching and truly lovely”. Since then\, O’Hara has completed three UK headline tours and established himself as one of Wales’ most compelling emerging voices. A darker\, more cinematic second album is due in early 2027. \nSerafima and The Shakedowns finds influence in the likes of Johnny and June Carter Cash\, Kimya Dawson\, Lily Allen\, Dan Reeder\, and Cake – somewhere in there among the honest and the groovy. Her lyrics hit you in the heart and stick in your head – wry\, time-twisting verses as deceptively complex as her protagonists and their experiences. She won’t lie to you\, but she just might tell you a story … so keep up\, folks\, and let’s ride along. \nGem Stark – Gem Stark’s moth-bitten folk tendencies are recognisable to audiences that have cried to the hum of a PAT-failed lamp in a second hand bookshop anywhere within the speculative radius of the Peak District. You can hear the influence of Aldous Harding\, Dave Van Ronk\, Joanna Newsom\, and Elliott Smith

SUMMARY:BASEMENT GIG - THE KLITTENS
DESCRIPTION:This five piece combines their love for pop music and dark sentiments with a punk ethos. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists – such as The Ronettes\, MF Doom\, Dry Cleaning and Kate Bush – they’ve crafted a sound that’s truly and twistedly their own. \nWhat initially began as an outlet\, both creatively and politically\, mutated into a musical life mission for its members. Their DIY approach\, from songwriting to releasing music and tour management\, is what makes The Klittens the ragtag bunch of misfits they are. The band consists of Yaël Dekker (vocals)\, Winnie Conradi (guitar)\, Katja Kahana (guitar)\, Marrit Meinema (bass guitar)\, and Laurie Zantinge (drums).

SUMMARY:Das Günther
DESCRIPTION:‘Das Günther’ (punk/electro/performance) embark on their first UK tour: \nSomewhere between sequins and protest\, between the dance floor and the deep sea\, Das Günther \nfrom Hanover deliver a stage show that challenges everything. \nWith drums\, bass\, synth and vocals\, they take the audience on a journey through clubs\, alternative venues and \nfestivals\, they take the audience on a journey\, dismantling the feel-good oases of the late-capitalist party \nand poking fun at patriarchal ways of thinking. \nThe trio sets off an anarchic spectacle that oscillates between Kraftwerk and carnival\, \nbetween clown and diva\, in a techno cellar. \nImprovised\, impulsive and always one joke away from madness.

SUMMARY:UPSTAIRS GIG - KAVUS TORABI
DESCRIPTION:For the last two decades\, Kavus Torabi has been responsible for a staggering body of work that includes his transformative and unusual instrumental music with The Utopia Strong\, the rich\, complex output of his own octet\, Knifeworld\, or fronting the legendary Gong at Daevid Allen’s request\, taking the psychedelic stalwarts into incendiary and ecstatic new realms with four studio albums and counting\, not to mention his involvement and contributions to Cardiacs\, Guapo and The Holy Family. However\, it is as a solo artist he weaves all the strands of his idiosyncratic vision together. Fusing the celestial with the human\, the joyful with the melancholy\, blending the autobiographical with the metaphysical. \nOver his albums Hip To The Jag (2020)\, The Banishing (2024) and the forthcoming album (released Autumn 2026)\, Torabi has crafted a shimmering\, singular and otherworldly realm of exquisite songwriting and poetic lyricism. Heartbreaking songs of love\, loss\, mortality of optimism and regret. \nA multi-instrumentalist\, Torabi’s charismatic presence and haunting voice is accompanied by guitar\, harmonium and synthesiser\, each performance an immersive\, transformative and ritualistic experience. \nThis is an 16+ event\, under 18s with a responsible adult

SUMMARY:BASEMENT GIG - GORDI
DESCRIPTION:Melding lush electronics with gently moody acoustic songwriting\, Australia’s Sophie Payten — who records under the name Gordi — began writing her debut EP while still living in her college dorm room in Sydney. A native of the small rural town of Canowindra\, Gordi eventually relocated to Sydney for school while also immersing herself in writing and recording. On the basis of singles like the sweeping “Can We Work It Out” and a unique reframing Courtney Barnett of ‘s “Avant Gardener\,” she signed a deal with American label Jagjaguwar in late 2015\, while chipping away at her medical studies. Her debut EP\, Clever Disguise\, was released in the US in the spring of 2016. Gordi delivered her debut full-length\, Reservoir\, in the summer of 2017. A true collaborator\, the full length was produced with Tim Anderson\, Ali Chant and Alex Somers and finished off in Eau Claire\, Wisconsin. \nAge Restrictions: 16+ / Under 18s with a responsible\, ticket holding adult.

SUMMARY:UPSTAIRS GIG - BLACK PONTIAC
DESCRIPTION:Catch Black Pontiac in Glasgow for the first time ever on the “Sick Puppy World Tour” EU + UK leg\, promoting their sophomore LP “A Danger to Himself and Others.” Featuring support from Sunfish\, hot off the trails of their latest EP “Live this Lie.” \nThis event is +16\, Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult \nBlack Pontiac \nBlack Pontiac is a band born out of tension. Emerging from an underground DIY community they helped reshape in the wake of the pandemic\, the Vancouver\, BC quartet has been walking a careful line ever since; balancing grit\, glam\, garage rock edge and indie-pop hooks. \nDrawing from acts such as Cage the Elephant and The Clash\, their sound thrives in the push and pull\, and with an energetic live show\, an enthusiastic cult following\, over 10 millions streams on Spotify\, as well as several tours\, festival appearances\, and support slots for acts like lovelytheband and Peach Pit under their belt\, the band is poised to turn up the tension even higher with a new project coming June 2026: A Danger to Himself and Others\, their 2nd full length LP\, available now everywhere. The record dives headfirst into the chaos and contradictions that have come to define Black Pontiac; a reckless\, anxious\, swaggering\, and tender collection of songs grappling with the performance of danger as a coping mechanism\, the fear of falling apart\, and the desperate attempt to carve out a sense of joy and belonging in the mess. \nwww.blackpontiac.com \nSunfish \nSunfish is an Alternative Rock band from Salt Lake City\, Utah. They fit anywhere from metal to pop with a unique sound coined by Utah venue Velour Music Gallery’s owner Corey Fox\, as “glitch grunge.” \nCarter Sears (22)\, guitar and vocals has helmed Sunfish since its inception. He is joined on stage by Courtney Lane on keys and backing vocals\, Mikkel Erickson on drums and recently Avery Davis on bass. Sunfish loves to be on the road\, touring and/or opening for bands like Dead Poets Society\, Arlie\, Friday Pilots Club \, IDKHow and Bad Flower. \nA new EP drops spring 2026\, with its first single JACKPOT available on streaming platforms now and the full EP available for purchase in the website shop. The Jackpot release is suported by a Western States tour in March with more tour dates to be announced soon. \nAs always with all things Fishy\, best to catch them live. \nsunfishband.com/
