DESCRIPTION:PCL Presents: PINS \n\nPINS are Faith Vern\, Lois Macdonald\, and Kyoko Swan. Since the release of their debut album Girls Like Us in 2013\, PINS have exuded strength in their danceable\, alternative post-punk transmissions and earned the trust and creative blessings of rock royalty such as Iggy Pop\, as well as peers including Jamie Hince of The Kills.\n2015’s Wild Nights (Bella Union) was recorded and produced at Rancho De La Luna with Dave Catching (Eagles of Death Metal) They toured on both sides of the pond\, including appearances at SXSW and Reading and Leeds and supporting everyone from Sleater-Kinney and Warpaint to Stereophonic and The Subways. \nIn 2017\, they unveiled their Bad Thing EP\, preceded by the single “Aggrophobe” [feat. Iggy Pop]. \n2020 saw the band release their full-length record Hot Slick. The 10-track album found the trio welcoming a rotating cast of collaborators following the departure of the original rhythm section. Rich Woodcraft oversaw the entire project as producer and engineer\, while Jamie Hince and Dean Honer contributed additional production\, Nathan Saoudi of Fat White Family lent his talents on the keys. The resulting album highlights an expanded soundscape with nods to influences such as Suicide and New Order. \n2025 will see the band return to the stage as PINS are set to embark on a highly anticipated UK tour this September to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of their critically acclaimed album Wild Nights.

SUMMARY:PCL Presents: Good Flying Birds
DESCRIPTION:Tickets – https://www.seetickets.com/event/good-flying-birds/nice-n-sleazy/3617595 \nGood Flying Birds is a jangly\, noisy guitar-pop group from the Midwest\, USA. The project began in December 2023 with a string of 4-track cassette recordings and stop-motion videos uploaded to YouTube under the name “Talulah God\,” accompanied by a chaotic\, GIF-filled website. Over the next few months\, songs were uploaded regularly\, eventually catching the attention of influential punk and DIY label head Martin Meyer. \nIn January 2025\, Talulah’s Tape was released on Rotten Apple\, compiling home recordings from 2020-2024. It showcased a wide-ranging love for independent guitar music\, clever songwriting\, and a charmingly scrappy\, twee-punk aesthetic. The release found immediate underground acclaim\, earning radio play and selling 300 cassettes in under a month. \nRiding the momentum and building a reputation as a dynamic live act\, the group attracted significant label interest\, ultimately signing with Carpark and Smoking Room. Together\, the labels re-released Talulah’s Tape on vinyl and streaming in October 2025. It has since seen glowing reviews from Rolling Stone\, Pitchfork\, Paste\, Bandcamp\, and landed in numerous “Best of 2025” lists. \nTheir sound nods to lo-fi icons like Guided By Voices\, Beat Happening\, DLIMC\, Talulah Gosh\, and The Vaselines\, but carries a singular\, earnest charm. It’s the sound of wide-eyed optimism in a cracked world-rosy cheeks\, a tambourine in hand\, and guitars ringing in all directions.
