They formed the band whilst waiting in\nthe line at Dalston Superstore London\, having met in the city on the circuit as\nsession musicians.\nDespite this being their first official release\, they generated significant interest\nearlier this year with a demo titled "Television\," which unexpectedly racked up over\n60\,000 streams on Soundcloud due to a mix-up. Kesh mistakenly sent a link to\nDuncan without setting private and the music instantly attracted attention. \nTheir first official single\, "Animated Love"\, launches today 6 th November 2024\nand is designed to inspire listeners to embrace life’s highs and lows while striving\nfor their best selves. The track combines feel-good indie with dancefloor ready\nenergy.\nThe name KuleeAngee derives from ‘Kalyan Ji’ a distant relative in Kesh’s family\nfrom India. "Kalyan\," meaning "new dawn" in Sanskrit\, reflects the duo's ethos of\nbreaking down barriers of language\, race\, and sexuality\, and living fully in the\npresent.\nAlready making a mark in the Glasgow music scene\, KuleeAngee recently\nperformed at the Tenement Trail in Barrowlands 2\, for BBC Introducing and\nsupported Porij at King Tut's. They are gearing up for a UK tour with headline\nshows in Edinburgh and Glasgow this December\, with more music and\nperformances on the horizon for early 2025.

SUMMARY:HOLLY CALDER + RAFLA
DESCRIPTION:‘Considering the shared interest in all kinds of rock’n roll\, it is a wonder that Holly and Rafla have never actually played records together before now. Rafla was based in Glasgow up until 4 years ago and was a resident in Nice’n Sleazy from 2006-2021 and also co- hosted the infamous Hot Club in the basement from 2007-2014. She now lives in Copenhagen where she has a monthly night at the dive bar Fantom Bar and is a regular in various other venues. Last year’s highlights were the garage rock festival Gutter Island and  Komet bar in Hamburg. She plays garage rock\, surf\, tassel twirlers\, weird instrumentals and whatever else is in her vinyl box that night! Holly is no stranger to Nice’n Sleazy or the rock’n roll scene in Glasgow. She is the queen of garage and psych parties\, both as the co-host of Anna and Holly’s Dance Party\, one of the organisers of Freakender\, and as a sought after DJ at parties all over the world. She brings her amazing collection of garage\, psych\, rock’n roll and freakbeat… all on tasty vinyl! We can’t wait to see you upstairs in the bar in Nice’n Sleazy Friday 17th January 2015\, 11pm-3am.’
