Banshee are an alternative rock band based in Glasgow, Scotland.
The band's sound combines pulsing modern electronics with roaring guitars, pop arrangements and a powerful female vocal.
In 2014 the band were invited to record at Red Bull Studios in London before playing a storming set on the Red Bull Stage at Download Festival, this success was followed by support slots with cult rock band Fearless Vampire Killers and leaders of the current UK rock pack Marmozets. The band released the debut EP, "Say My Name" in 2015 to rave reviews from the UK's underground music press. 2016 saw the band begin their productive recording relationship with Scottish producer extraordinaire Bruce Rintoul (Fatherson, Vukovi) releasing stand alone singles "Starts With One' in 2016 and "You Said" in 2018 ahead of a string of dates throughout the UK.
100 Fables are one of the most exciting young bands in an already-thriving Glasgow music scene today, 100 Fables were born from a shared love of the new wave movement and their passion for the ’80s pop and post punk electro sound. 100 Fables effortlessly combine all of these influences into a powerful high-octane mix that follows in the steps of the acts that have inspired them – such as Blondie, Altered Images, The Cure, The Cars, Le Tigre and The Killers – but firmly sounds like nothing else but 100 Fables.
The band have made a firm mark over the last 18 months, from being crowned Hard Rock Risings 2016 European Champions to show-stealing appearances at Isle Of Wight Festival and Young Scot Awards 2017, as well as storming supporting slots with acts as diverse as Glasvegas, The View, Sheppard and The Sugarhill Gang.
As well as gaining traction on the airwaves with regular plays from BBC Introducing’s Vic Galloway, Amazing Radio’s Jim Gellatly, BBC Radio Scotland’s ‘Single of the Week’ (‘Wake Up’ Janice Forsyth Show) and 4 months (16 weeks) in Passport Approved’s Top Ten.
Crashes are relative new comers to the Scottish music scene howeverm the four piece are already making an impression amongst audiences. With their first EP 'The Ligthening Age' available on all major digital retailers, this is a band worth checking out.
