Antojitos was created in Summer 2020 by vegan chef John Kelly, born from frustration at the lack of credible vegan and vegetarian options at his favourite Mexican restaurants. Antojitos specialise in quesadillas, tacos, taquitos, and empanadas, and work closely with a range of suppliers to ensure they are only using the freshest and most authentic ingredients available.
After a year of trading, Antojitos was crowned champions at the Scottish Street Food Awards 2021, with their signature Seitan Barbacoa Quesadilla impressing the panel of judges and giving them the nod over 14 other finalists. This also led to Antojitos being the only Scottish nominee at the British Street Food Awards, and the only vegan finalist.
In September 2021, they took over the kitchen at The Dog House in Edinburgh, and serve there 7 days a week. The welcoming, vibrant bar offers the perfect setting to enjoy our vegan treats.
January 2022, Antojito's opened in Buck Street Market in Camden, joining arguably the worlds strongest street food scene. Antojitos are proud to be serving our vegan fare at Camden's only Eco-friendly market Tuesday - Sunday every week. February 13th 2022, Antojitos will open at Nice N Sleazy in Glasgow 7 days a week.
