PHEROMOANS + HOOKWORMS + BROKEN ARM + SCRATCHCARD LUNG

PHEROMOANS
A rare trip North for this fully amazing, top shelf group from somewhere near London who channel the ramshackle urgency of late 70s DIY legends SWELL MAPS, TELEVISION PERSONALITIES, DESPERATE BICYCLES and early FALL into a totally singular, right-now cocktail of warped, broken psychedelia and sparse avant punk. Having already amassed an intimidatingly large number of consistently excellent releases on esteemed underground labels like CONVULSIVE, SWEET ROT and NIGHT PEOPLE in the last few years you'd think they'd be hard pushed to keep it up, but the gold keeps on coming from one of the UK's most exciting and prolific bands.
HOOKWORMS
Highly promising Leeds group whose debut record of last year gained numerous admirers including a raving JULIAN COPE, and CAMERON STALLONE (SUN ARAW) who released it initially on his SUN ARK label. Totally unrestrained garage psych with a LOOP / SPACEMEN 3 feel and nods to the 60s and 70s greats. They've already played out with WOODEN SHJIPS, BARDO POND, SUN ARAW and THE MEN but this is their first show in Scotland.
BROKEN ARM
Awesome noisy, bad-vibe-projecting Leeds garage punk band who love HALO OF FLIES, BRAINBOMBS and BLACK FLAG. They dropped a killer 7" on GRINGO RECORDS last year and are also breaking the border for the first time.
SCRATCHCARD LUNG
Really odd and amazing bash-and-clatter noise punk trio, like a Glaswegian DRUNKS WITH GUNS.
